Shawn Lecowitch, an undergraduate student in International Business and Logistics at Maine Maritime Academy, recently wrapped up a superb summer internship with True North Group. He is also a prior Enlisted Sailor in the US Coast Guard, and served as an Electrician's Mate on USCG patrol vessels. Our interns learn how technology integration is intriniscally linked to the strategic goals of each business we work with, and how cybersecurity is vital to the value chain and to the safey of operations. Shawn's a great shipmmate - he was eager to immerse in our work, and helped the team. True North Group strongly believes in giving back to prepare the next maritime leaders by providing them with an immersive experience with our team in the real maritime environment. Thanks to Professor Jeffrey Simpson, LCB and Maine Maritime Academy for sending Shawn to us!

True North Group was invited to present at the Falvey Forum on 3 June in Newport, RI, hosted by the Falvey Insurance Group. We presented on the journey to resilience in maritime cybersecurity, and some case studies of the great work and progress that some shipowners and marine terminal operators have made. More importantly, we were able to spend some time understanding risk from the underwriters' and brokers' perspectives. Thank you to Mike Falvey, Jack Falvey, and Eric Newman for the gracious invitation and hospitality, and to Charles Forsaith and Pete Mento for the introduction to the Falvey Insurance Group!
