2024 Professional Driver of the Year Rosalinda Tejada Reflects on Improving the Professional Driver Image When asked about improving the image of professional truck drivers, Rosalinda says: “I get that comment a lot: ‘You’re a truck driver?’ ‘How do you drive your truck with your nails? Why do you have makeup on?’ You know why because that’s me. That’s my confidence. James Menzies at Today's Trucking reported on the large carrier panel at yesterday's Bridging Border Barriers event. -David Tumber, MBA, CPA, CMA of Kriska Transportation Group emphasized that while covering loads is manageable due to more capacity than freight, the real difficulty lies in securing profitable rates. -Craig Germain from XTL TRANSPORT INC. noted the slower-than-expected exit of capacity from the market despite challenging operating conditions over the past few years. -Steven Brookshaw of TFI International Inc. discussed cost-reduction strategies, including optimizing in-house maintenance networks and pursuing strategic acquisitions. TCA was proud to sponsor the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Whistle Stop yesterday in Hagerstown, MD! The event brought the community together in celebration of the season, with special appearances by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Deputy Administrator Vinn White, D.M. Bowman, Inc.'s Samantha Bodnar, Ms. Maryland, Hagerstown Mayor Tekesha Martinez, drivers and staff from Lynden Transport and representatives from the U.S. Forest Service. The turnout was incredible, and the holiday spirit was in full swing as the tree made its way to Washington, D.C. A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us to make this stop so memorable!

Maverick Transportation Delivers The Wall That Heals TCA is proud to recognize member Maverick Transportation, LLC for their recent role in transporting The Wall That Heals, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. This traveling exhibit honors the legacy of the Memorial, bringing its powerful message to communities nationwide. Maverick played a crucial part in ensuring the wall arrived safely at its destination in Panama City, Florida.?
