It's Week 3 of our theme #ThankfulForTech and #TechnologyFirst this November! Today we're understanding #RemoteSupports for People with Disabilities ???? Remote supports are innovative technologies that provide real-time assistance and monitoring for individuals with disabilities, allowing them to live more independently. Examples of Remote Support options are: Smart Home Integration: Automated systems that control lighting, temperature, and security, helping users manage their home environment with ease. Video Monitoring: Remote caregivers can check in and provide support through video calls, offering peace of mind and immediate assistance when needed. Health Monitoring Systems: Wearable devices and remote health monitoring tools track all manner of health & safety indicators. These tools alert caregivers to any issues, providing timely interventions and continuous health management. By integrating assistive technologies with remote supports, individuals with disabilities can enjoy greater autonomy, improved safety, and more consistent care, all while staying connected to their support networks. This synergy is crucial in building a more inclusive and supportive environment. #AccessibilityForAll

Our Residential Team is almost always growing! Check-out our open positions on Indeed and apply today! Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them in daily living activities, personal care, and community involvement. They play a crucial role in promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and ensuring the individuals they support can live as fully and independently as possible. DSPs are dedicated advocates who empower those they serve to achieve their personal goals. If this sounds like you or someone you know, we want to hear from you! Our Residential Program Managers work as hard as our DSPs. In addition to providing direct care, our PMs oversee in-home operations, individual finances (as needed), coordinate and conduct staff training and compliance, and supervise DSPs in their daily duties. At least one year of previous experience working with individuals with ID/DD is required. Previous supervisory experience is a plus but not required! Want to learn more about these positions? Ohio's "Technology First" campaign is an initiative aimed at ensuring that people with developmental disabilities have increased opportunities to live, work, and thrive in their communities through innovative technology. Launched through an executive order in 2018, the campaign focuses on integrating technology into service plans to enhance safety, independence, and quality of life. This includes using assistive technology for daily tasks and remote support for real-time communication, allowing individuals to be more independent in their homes. It's one of many reason we are #ThankfulForTech! #AssistiveTechnology #RemoteSupports
