On February 17, Trott Law, P.C. was proud to support The Shapero Cup Moot Court Competition and Symposium, an incredible opportunity for law students in the Sixth Circuit to sharpen their advocacy skills. Trott Law, P.C. Bankruptcy Attorney Lisa Mullen had the honor of serving as a judge, helping guide the next generation of bankruptcy practitioners. On February 12, our Managing Partner, Marcy Ford, had the privilege of speaking to 2nd and 3rd-year law students at University of Michigan Law School about mortgages, mortgage defaults, compliance, and creditor representation in bankruptcy. ? It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with future legal professionals, discuss the complexities of bankruptcy law, and share insights on the importance of empathy, respect, and strategic advocacy in legal practice. ? We’re always excited to connect with the next generation of attorneys!

Last week, Jeffrey Weisserman and Marcy Ford attended the USFN Member Retreat, an annual gathering that fosters insightful discussions on the challenges and opportunities shaping our industry. Marcy had the privilege of speaking on a panel about succession planning -- a critical topic for ensuring the long-term success of our organizations. A highlight of the retreat was celebrating the remarkable career of David Trott, our former partner, who received the USFN Lifetime Achievement Award -- an honor Jeffrey and Marcy were proud to present to him. A big thank you to USFN for organizing another amazing event!

Big Sky, Montana, was the backdrop for some big conversations at USFN’s “Executive Servicer Summit” this past week. Our very own Marcy Ford, Jeffrey Weisserman and Mike Feiwell represented the Trott Law, P.C. team incredibly -- as they always do. Marcy enjoyed the opportunity to network with colleagues from around the country and discuss new opportunities for the firm and the industry. Jeffrey shared valuable insights on the Government Agency Updates panel, tackling recent developments on Show Me and other agency/insurer updates. Mike sat for the summit’s finale: Reg X Horizon, where the panel shared information on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s proposed changes to Reg X and comments from the industry. We enjoyed every moment. Thank you to all who attended and thank you again to USFN for bringing us all together!
