The Trotter Team generously made year-end donations to support service organizations, which the company matched. The funds will be donated to support the missions of organizations located in Illinois and Wisconsin. 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝘅 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲 - 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 The Village of Fox Lake recently completed its 2024 Roadway Improvement project that improved a half mile of Longwood Drive and Wildwood Drive. Rehabilitating these roadways included using Full-Depth Reclamation with Cement, a sustainable construction method. This method pulverizes the existing pavement section and mixes cement, providing a more substantial base for the new pavement section. Grant Township maintains a section of Longwood Drive and two other roadways east of the work being completed. To minimize public impacts and provide a comprehensive improvement to residents, the Township resurfaced a half mile of its roadways in conjunction with the Village. Trotter and Associates provided design and construction engineering services for the Village and the Township.

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗧𝗖 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 Trotter and Associates, Inc. (TAI) is a full-service municipal engineering firm that has proudly served our hometown of St. Charles for 25 years! This year, TAI was honored to support The Band of Brothers, which performed at the STC Holiday Homecoming Parade! The band members are active and retired firefighters who made the evening even brighter, and we thank them all for their service. From all of us at Trotter and Associates, we wish everyone a Wonderful Holiday Season and a Very Merry Christmas!  

𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 - 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗼𝘁 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 Glenbard Wastewater Authority recently completed replacing the aging asphalt parking lot at its main office. To meet current needs, the lot was expanded from seven spaces to sixteen, including accessible parking. With the East Branch DuPage River directly downstream of the site, permeable pavers were utilized instead of asphalt. The use of these pavers not only reduces the amount of stormwater runoff but also improves the quality through natural filtering. Trotter and Associates assisted the Authority throughout the entire life cycle of this project. 

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 Stephen Corless has joined the Trotter and Associates, Inc. Team as a Senior Electrical Engineer. Steve is a highly skilled electrical and controls engineer with extensive experience in municipal, manufacturing, and consulting sectors. Throughout his career, he has significantly contributed to designing and implementing electrical equipment, components, and control systems. Steve will support TAI projects, emphasizing electrical design and system integration, ensuring all equipment is effectively powered and controlled. Steve will work between our St. Charles and Fox Lake offices. We look forward to introducing Steve to our clients.

𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝘅 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲 – 𝗪𝗮𝘆𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 The Village of Fox Lake engaged Trotter and Associates, Inc. to work with a sign design firm, obtain permits, and provide construction observation for the fabrication and installation of wayfinding signs throughout the Village. The project also included removing and replacing Village of Fox Lake signs with new monument signs. These monument signs incorporated the stone base and Village logo as seen throughout other structures constructed within the Village over recent years. The project involved permitting three separate DOTs which included: IDOT, Lake County, and McHenry County. In total, 19 signs were installed, and more are slated for construction in 2025.

𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘆𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 – 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝟳 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 In 2019, Trotter and Associates was engaged by the City of Sycamore to complete a Water Master Plan, which identified the need for improved radium removal.  The plan outlined several options to meet this need; ultimately, the City moved forward with the use of a hydrous manganese oxide (HMO) filtration system. This filter will be integrated into the existing water system at the City’s Well 7 site and installed within a new structure. In addition to the filter, this structure will also house the new chlorine feed, chemical feed/mixing, and electrical system, which are being replaced as part of the project. With the filter being delivered to the site in early July, construction of the project is on track to allow the facility to be operable by the Fall of 2024.
