Jeff Mason announced last week that 360 Risk Management, Inc. has become our first agency partner at Tropolis. It's been exciting to welcome them. Jeff and I first started working together after meeting at the University of Michigan in 2003. When we (along with Benjamin Calnin) decided to start Tropolis together, I had a high degree of confidence that we'll be successful in having a positive impact on many independent insurance agencies through our partnerships. It's a great feeling to have our first deal under our belts. Paul Murphy and his team have been ideal partners throughout the process. Now we get to the fun part, where we can start to support 360 with: - cutting-edge technology to help them reach new clients and grow more predictably; - operational efficiencies that help them run smoothly and focus even more on client service; and - best practices to help the 360 team reach their full potential. Thanks to everyone at 360 and at Unity Partners who helped get this partnership over the finish line.

We've reached a huge milestone at Tropolis, as Paul Murphy and 360 Risk Management have become our first partner agency. James, Benjamin, and I started Tropolis because we believe the insurance brokerage industry has tremendous potential and see an opportunity to support smaller agencies with the dizzying pace of change. Tropolis will not work, however, unless we have partners who are passionate about their businesses and have a growth mindset. Our business model depends on finding partners who have already succeeded in building successful agencies but are committed to growing and learning going forward. That's why it has been such a pleasure getting to know Paul, who is an absolutely ideal partner for us. He and his excellent team at 360 Risk Management, Inc. have built a great business. He also believes, as we do, that 360 has so much potential to grow in the communities they serve. I'll share more about our partnership with 360 going forward. For now, we're excited to have our first partnership deal done and are looking for more Paul Murphys.
