  • The Tropical Innovation Festival hit NYC this past weekend! ??♀??? Our very own Kate Montgomery proudly represented TIF at the iconic New York City Marathon, tackling the 42.2km race with the heart and determination that embody our festival’s values. With the support of Tara Diversi cheering her on across five spots along the course, Kate completed her fifth marathon all with the biggest smile on her face throughout the race. Plus, a big shoutout to some very familiar faces from our TIF speakers, with Jake Ellwood and Tim Brewer also competing / showing support through the race. Help us give Kate a big congrats on this massive achievement and representing TIF on the world stage! ?? #nycmarathon #newyorkcity #nyc

Tropical Innovation Festival represented today in New York City with Kate Montgomery tackling the TCS New York City Marathon and I was so privileged to support her. A few years back I said that I believed anyone could run a marathon (with training, time, support and enjoyment) … With three ACL reconstructions under her belt Katie laughed at me and tried to convince me otherwise… and here she is with five marathons completed including taking the unofficial title of being the “Happiest Marathon Runner in New York” I chased her down and managed to cover a half marathon on foot to see her in 5 locations… testament to the amazing event that New York Road Runners puts on. So incredibly proud of our Kate. She truly did amazing - we’ve had a crazy busy year at work and to train for this race and finish with a smile and cheering on other athletes was a delight to experience. Fabulous to see our friend and opening speaker Jake Ellwood also competing along with one of our favourite TIF supporters, Tim Brewer to help us cheer Katie on.
