Troon will partner with the Thompson Golf Group (TGG) at The Wilds Golf Club in Prior Lake, Minnesota and Geneva Golf Club in Alexandria, Minnesota. Both The Wilds and Geneva Golf Clubs will be Troon-affiliated facilities, with the leading golf management company supporting regional and national sales and marketing efforts for these properties. Troon and TGG have similar sales and marketing agreements in place at three of TGG’s Arizona properties, including Longbow Golf Club, Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club and Power Ranch Golf Club. As Troon-affiliated facilities, The Wilds and Geneva Golf Clubs will participate in the industry-leading Troon Access program, as well as the popular Troon Rewards and Troon Advantage programs. In addition, as part of a joint strategy, Troon will also identify advertising and marketing opportunities through the Troon Media Network, targeting golfers through Troon Magazine, and Troon’s digital and email marketing platforms. Three junior golfers from Woodholme Country Club in Pikesville represented Central Maryland well at the recent Under Armour Junior Winter Nationals in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. 15-year-old Landon Rottman won the 15-18-year-old age division, shooting a first round 76 and a second round 74 to finish three strokes ahead of the second-place finisher, while Cole Maller (age 16) finished 6th and Grant Stoler (age 18) placed 15th in a field that included 70 players of top junior golfers from across the U.S. The talented trio qualified for the Under Armour Winter Nationals through a series of local events on the Southern Maryland Under Armour Tour, finishing in the top five in the 2024 overall standings in the local league. At 15, Rottman was one of the youngest competitors in the 15-18-year-old age division. "Winning this tournament was one of my goals for 2025,” said Rottman who grew up playing golf at Woodholme Country Club from age three. “I put in hours of hard work and dedication, and it feels great to see it all pay off. Troon is pleased to announce a 10-year management agreement renewal with the Chicago Park District to manage the City of Chicago’s eight golf facilities. Indigo Sports, a Troon company, will continue to operate and maintain Chicago’s six golf courses, three driving ranges and one miniature golf course, while providing outstanding guest service and innovative golf programs focused on increasing engagement of underrepresented communities. “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Chicago Park District. Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club in Ocean View, Delaware is pleased to welcome Kellie Pitts as the club’s new general manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day agronomic operations, including overseeing the golf course maintenance schedule, managing a small team and executing Troon programs and standards.
