    This week, T-robotics turned 1 year old. During this time, we have brought ActGPT from an idea to production. The video shows the production test. It provided some critical milestones for us. 1. The entire cell, including the Robot, the PLC, the IOs, and the Machine, is programmed and controlled through our conversational AI agent. This agent has vision, language, and actions tuned for machine-tending. 2. A robot control architecture that seamlessly switches between optimal control and pre-trained neural network control, giving industrial-grade performance. 3. A machine-tending AI model that can take language and vision inputs to output robust motions that avoid collisions, react to changes, and make the entire fleet learn continuously. Could you check how the robot planned the motion in a tight space? Experienced integrators would spend months programming the robot, the machines, and the PLC at this sophistication level. However, the blue-collar workers at our customers now program the entire cells multiple times a day without worrying about the robot colliding or making a mistake or the complexity of robot programming. The robot already knows how to do this task. The delta between how they used robots and how they use them now with ActGPT is enormous. We have signed partnerships with some of the biggest robot manufacturers with whom we'll bring these capabilities to the industry at large. Many things happened this year, from the team we assembled to an oversubscribed funding round, winning the ABB Robotics AI challenge, to opening our offices in San Francisco and Norway. This feels the most special.

    I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief of Operations at T-robotics! We are a robotics startup that is redefining what robots can do and how we engage with them. This marks a shift for me: from theory to technology, from papers to products, and from experiments to execution. The scale and speed at which we can move with this world-class team is exhilarating. I'm incredibly grateful for the past four years at SINTEF Manufacturing, and a decade in the academic robotics community. The progress has been amazing and it will be a joy to take part in translating that innovation into real-world value creation. Robotics has come far, but it has much further it can go.     Yesterday, T-robotics got access to its first office in Trondheim, Norway - to be shortly followed by our office in San Francisco, US. It was a Saturday, not much was open, and we got an empty office. But we didn’t let the delivery of furniture next week stop us. The team uprooted woodwork left by the previous tenant and built furniture on the spot. Resulting, in a full productive working day. In my career, I have worked in many fancy offices - nothing comes close to the joy I had yesterday. It is my mission that our team will provide our customers the most advanced physically intelligent robots from world class offices and labs, boasting the best working environment and perks in the world. But I would always look for and enforce the spirit of yesterday. That when it comes down to the wire, we don’t wait for perfect, we move fast and get the job done.
