It's We Show Up Wednesday! Today, we shine the spotlight on Noah, an RN in our critical care unit. A family recently recalled their deep appreciation for Noah after their loved one passed away. The family grieved very openly and Noah was incredibly passionate about being with them, even while still in orientation and adjusting as a new nurse. Noah is a recent grad, and already making a great impact on our patients and their families. His compassionate care is just one of the many ways Noah shines as a critical care nurse. Congratulations to our TriStar Southern Hills Rehab team! Not only is it National Rehabilitation Awareness Week, our rehab program was just named one of "America's Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers" for 2024 by Newsweek. To celebrate, leaders made a special pancake breakfast - of course dressed up in costume. Our rehab team is consistently recognized for its patient outcomes and success stories. For three years in a row, our inpatient rehabilitation has ranked in the top 10% for functional outcomes out of over 860 facilities. These incredible colleagues go above and beyond for patients every day, and we thank them for their dedication to compassionate, quality care. ??

Dr. Sareda Nur, chief medical officer here at TriStar Southern Hills, recently "walked a mile" with Katrina, an echocardiogram tech. This program allows senior leaders the opportunity to shadow various departments and learn firsthand more about their roles. It's also great time to bond and get to know each other better! Dr. Nur recalled, "I truly enjoyed learning about Katrina's work and processes. Katrina has extensive knowledge and experience in her field, and with her gentle approach, compassion, and demeanor, the patients feel comfortable and relaxed. Katrina does mostly inpatient echocardiogram cases and often helps with outpatients when needed. In addition to the regular echo, Katrina assists Dr. Ali with Transesophageal Echocardiograms. It was terrific spending time and working with her and getting to know the great work she does for our patients." #WalkaMile #CareLikeFamily
