We are so proud of this team! Our TriStar Centennial research team is celebrating the success of a first-in-the-nation procedure. Our team is treating Tricuspid Regurgitation (TR), a heart valve disease, using a new investigational procedure option for patients with a device called Trillium. Most patients living with TR experience abnormal heart rhythms, tiredness and swelling in the legs or neck. This procedure offers an alternative to the traditional open-heart surgery, offering patients a less-invasive option. Exciting news! Today, The Store announced plans to open a second location on the campus of TriStar Centennial Medical Center to continue its mission of fighting food insecurity in Nashville. Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley are co-founders of The Store, a nonprofit organization that offers a free, referral-based grocery store to empower Nashville families and individuals in need. The Store’s unique model, which emphasizes dignity and choice, allows customers to select from a variety of nutritious foods, clothing and wrap-around services. TriStar Centennial Medical Center has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines? - Stroke GOLD PLUS with Target: Stroke Elite Honor Roll Achievement and Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll Awards for its commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines, ultimately leading to more lives saved and reduced disability. Stroke is the No. 5 cause of death and a leading cause of disability in the United States. Early stroke detection and treatment are key to improving survival, minimizing disability and accelerating recovery times. Get With The Guidelines? puts the expertise of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association to work for hospitals nationwide, helping ensure patient care is aligned with the latest research- and evidence-based guidelines. Great news! The Certificate of Need to bring a full-service, 68 bed hospital to Spring Hill was officially approved! In addition to general acute care medical services, the hospital will offer surgical, maternity, imaging, cardiology and critical care services. Bringing inpatient care directly to Spring Hill residents would ensure that the growing and thriving community has enhanced access to the comprehensive healthcare services it needs and deserves. After servicing the community with emergency care for over 11 years, we are proud of how far we have come and are hopeful of what we can accomplish together in the future. #SpringHillHospital

This week, we are welcoming an amazing group of new graduate medical education (GME) residents to our TriStar Centennial family! HCA Healthcare is the largest sponsor of GME programs in the United States and this summer, 58 new residents and fellows joined our TriStar Health network of clinicians and colleagues. Of those 58 residents, 31 were welcomed at TriStar Centennial to practice internal medicine, psychiatry and transitional year. The newly minted physicians will have the opportunity to work with our high-quality faculty focused on teaching them to provide exceptional, compassionate care.
