As we continue advancing our TRISO-X fuel facility and supporting the next generation of clean energy, we look forward to collaborating with local leaders, businesses, and the community.

Today, we're excited to announce Joel Duling as the new President of TRISO-X, our advanced nuclear fuel development and manufacturing subsidiary. With over 35 years of experience in nuclear operations and manufacturing, Joel will lead the charge in commercializing our groundbreaking TRISO-X fuel and he will oversee the construction and opening of our state-of-the-art TX-1 fuel fabrication facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

The TRISO-X team proudly joined the East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC) NOW conference last week, highlighting the tremendous opportunities available throughout Tennessee's growing nuclear sector. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many innovative minds and industry leaders. The insights and collaborations gained from this event are invaluable, and we're excited to continue progress toward growing East Tennessee's nuclear economy with our first-in-the-nation advanced nuclear fuel facility. We are looking forward to future engagements and continued collaboration!

X-energy has been awarded a $148.5 million tax credit to construct a first-of-a-kind TRISO-X advanced nuclear fuel fabrication facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Funded by the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, the award is part of the Qualifying Advanced Energy Project Tax Credit (48C) program jointly administered by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the U.S. Treasury Department, and the Internal Revenue Service. X-energy’s investment in the TX-1 project is expected to create approximately 400 permanent jobs and 475 construction jobs. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eUQ-cWcQ
