According to LUMA Partners’ 2024 Full Year Market Report, the digital media and marketing ecosystem experienced a 13% annual increase in overall mergers and acquisitions compared to the previous year. Specifically, the ad tech sector saw a notable 73% rise in deal volume during this period, and per the Q1 deal flow this year, that trend looks set to continue. Some have even tipped a return of initial public offerings in the space in 2025. Andreas Waltenspiel, Waltenspiel - Connecting the Dots, likes the ability to connect with his fellow Europeans in an environment free from cell phones and other distractions. ?? Moira McKenna, IQVIA calls CES the "high school reunion for the media and ad tech industry" and likes the ability to kick the year off right. ?? Terence Kawaja. LUMA Partners, sees it as a great way to aggregate people and get deals going in what he notes is very much a "people business." ?? Drew Kane, Mediaocean, likes the ad hoc meetings that happen during the week and the new ideas he can take home with him. ?? Meredith Brace, TripleLift sees CES as "the ultimate reunion" as well as a great source of inspiration as people are talking about "big ideas." ??
