Trinity Health Michigan is honored to celebrate two nurses awarded the 2024 MLive Top Nurses Award. These awards acknowledge nurses who go above and beyond in the health care industry and exemplify what it means to be passionate, strong, and empathetic. A voting board reviewed over 160 nominations, selecting 10 of the Top Nurses in Michigan. Two awardees are nurses from Trinity Health Grand Rapids. Leaders from Trinity Health Muskegon, Muskegon Community College, and Grand Valley State University celebrated the newly enhanced associate degree in nursing (ADN) to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. The initiative seeks to create a vital talent pipeline for nursing graduates for Trinity Health. Through this partnership, Muskegon Community College students who have earned their associate degree in nursing will have the opportunity to continue their education and obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing right on MCC’s campus. Our Office of Philanthropy recently partnered with Trinity Health Oakland clinical teams to host Trinity Health Academy, a full-day, immersive experience with rarely granted access to our facilities for donors and special guests. This behind-the-scenes experience offered an inside look at areas of the hospital not typically available to the general public. Participants saw our values in action and learned what distinguishes us from other hospitals. Along with guided tours of the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), surgical pavilion, The Farm and more, leaders provided educational presentations and the opportunity to ask questions.
