In recognition of World Pancreatic Cancer Day, you owe it to yourself to eat mindfully and do your best to prevent cancer. The Trinitas cafe features items marked "Mindful," which point out solid choices that are not only satisfying and packed with nutrients, but easy enough to make at home. Try this equally delicious and nutritious recipe for Strawberry Jicama Cucumber Salad from the American Heart Association.

November 21 is the Great American Smoke Out Day, a day when millions of Americans will take the first step in their nicotine and tobacco quit journey. Smoking is one of the leading preventable causes of cancer, cardiovascular disease, heart attack, and stroke. Quitting smoking significantly reduces your risk of future disease and dramatically improves your quality of life. Because quitting smoking or vaping alone can be challenging, RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery’s Nicotine and Tobacco Recovery Program can help. The free, 8-week program connects individuals to a certified tobacco treatment specialist who provides support and resources throughout the quit journey. The program is open to individuals of all ages throughout New Jersey. Learn more by visiting rwjbh.org/quitcenter. #LetsBeHealthyTogether #GreatAmericanSmokeout”

Today, we gathered in the Trinitas Chapel at Williamson Street and New Point Campuses to pay tribute to the memory of those who have lost their lives during acts of anti-transgender violence. It's important that we acknowledge the struggles faced by the transgender community and continue to work toward the promise that we may someday achieve equality and justice for all.
