One of our newest bus lines connects the Sellwood neighborhood and the Swan Island industrial area with Portland City Center. Line 40 is a commuter-friendly, community-approved bus line that provides over 5,000 rides every week!

ICYMI: For all the work they do behind the scenes, the employees who maintain TriMet's substations deserve recognition. Rarely seen, substations are the heart of the MAX system, regulating the renewable electricity that keeps trains moving. There are about 70 substations spread across TriMet's 60-mile light rail system. It is the job of substation maintainers to keep these critical parts of the rail system working 24/7.
