We were delighted to host Trimble Inc. CEO, Rob Painter, who visited SLA for the first time yesterday. During the strategic meeting, Trimble learnt about SLA’s full geospatial expertise across key areas in land management, geospatial, and geomatics. The discussion also highlighted the long-standing partnership between SLA and Trimble, particularly with SLA’s national positioning infrastructure - ‘Singapore Satellite Positioning Reference Network’ or SiReNT. Since its launch in 2006, #SiReNT has played a key role in delivering accurate and reliable GPS correction services. There are currently 10 GNSS based reference stations across Singapore. This robust technology supports diverse applications in many industries, and serves land surveyors and users from construction automation, asset management, autonomous robots and platforms, and environmental monitoring. In 2022, the Trimble Alloy?? receivers were introduced into the SiReNT infrastructure and today users can benefit from the GNSS single base or network based Virtual Reference Stations (VRS) correction services of SiReNT. Users continue to rely on the absolute positioning precision and accuracy of up to 3 centimetres in real-time for smart nation type applications. The meeting also explored potential new collaborations, setting the stage for exciting initiatives in geospatial technology and innovation. #GeospatialPowered
