It's been a pleasure to work with our partners at Altarum on such an invaluable survey. This project will help to improve women Veterans' access to and utilization of VA Health Care, and we're thrilled to have been a part of it!
As of 2023, there are more United States female military Service Members and Veterans than at any other time in history—both in number and percentage—and their growth in these figures will continue for the foreseeable future. As more women become Service Members and Veterans, there is an increase in the utilization of VA health care benefits or services. To understand the barriers women Veterans may face accessing VA care, the comprehensiveness of care, and progress made in reducing barriers to VA healthcare for women Veterans, the VA’s Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Women’s Health sponsored the 2024 “Study of Barriers for Women Veterans to VA Health Care.” The data collected allows the VA to plan and provide better health care for women Veterans and to support reports to Congress about the status of women Veterans’ health care. In collaboration with Trilogy Federal, the Altarum team managed the survey life cycle. Altarum has a long history with miliary health and an ongoing commitment to supporting the quality improvement of military and Veterans’ health. Trilogy Federal made it to Miami Beach! Officially halfway through the first day at the Govcon Giants #GCGNationalSummit. I finally had a chance to meet the woman, the myth, the legend, Megan (MJ) Sheckles, SHRM-CP at the lovely VIP reception last night - and my #GovCon bff Jade Simon is here too! “Someone should do something about that.” The phrase that inspired my change from working as a government employee to an industry partner. We often hear this response when we discover a broken system, process, etc. You are someone. I am someone. We are all someone. And we will do something about that! Fantastic insights so far from U.S. Small Business Administration this morning (Jackie Robinson-Burnette) and many others in the public-private partnership arena. Looking forward to the continued momentum and synergy this summit is bringing!

And what a whirlwind it was! #iEX2024 highlighted VHA innovation, collaboration, and achievement in transforming healthcare using the latest technology solutions to serve all Veterans, and this year, Dr. Shereef Elnahal, VA Under Secretary for Health, made a major announcement, launching VA’s new Healthcare AI Lab (HAIL) in collaboration with the FDA to change the future of Veteran health care. This year’s event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with so many VHA and industry leaders on #healthcaretechnology. We are officially hacking pros!?Congrats?to DJ Kim, John Tano, and Timothy Han for placing third at the FTS Hackathon 2024 in Austin earlier this month. Their innovative unbundling solution used AI to detect providers engaging in medical billing fraud, which, if implemented, could save VA millions of dollars. The FTS Hackathon was a three-day event that brought together federal employees, industry experts, and VA partners to learn and address cybersecurity and fraud challenges. We were thrilled to participate in this year’s hackathon and are looking forward to next year (and the Build-a-Thon in the coming months)! #FTSHackathon2024 #IAmaHacker #Hacking4Good

Thrilled we had the opportunity to attend the Association of the United States Army - AUSA Conference in DC this week – the energy at the conference was incredible! Trilogy Vice Presidents Ro (Rosanna) Weaver and LEATRICE A. NAYLOR were on hand to hear military and defense industry leaders from around the globe showcase cutting-edge advancements in defense technology, and they were fortunate to participate in sessions that delved into the future of DOD contracting and outlooks for FY25.
