Realizing early in life that her family had a seemingly high rate of cancer diagnoses, Mary Orloff wanted to be prepared. An early adopter of genetic testing technology, Mary discovered a genetic mutation that predisposed her to developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer. With the help of this knowledge, Mary has made preventative health decisions alongside her care team, remaining cancer-free 20 years later! Today is the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month, and we couldn't think of a better way to wrap it up then to highlight the great time we had at Princeton High School earlier this month! We were happy to be there and providing health screenings for those in attendance as Princeton hosted a Hispanic Heritage Festival that included, art, culture, dancing, and a whole lot of fun! Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a great day!

As we approach the end of Hispanic Heritage Month, we wanted to highlight the great work being done by our Good Samaritan Free Health Center! The Center, which opened almost 14 years ago in 2011, has helped thousands of uninsured, non-Medicaid/Medicare-eligible adults find a medical home where they are able to receive regular primary healthcare - including many people of Hispanic descent. Around a week ago, Good Samaritan Hospital opened and dedicated a new OB-GYN training room to Dr. Michael Baggish! The training room includes a lifelike mannequin that will simulate natural birth, c-section birth and other various delivery complications, providing meaningful training to OB residents at Good Sam.
