Maritime Security Services. Industry Training. Security Consulting. Technology Development and Application. Global Executive Protection. Commercial Maritime. Oil and Gas. Trident Group was established in April of 2000 and incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Trident Group (TG) was founded by U.S. Navy Special Operations personnel (SEAL) and Senior, U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officers, in order to fill an observed gap in security consulting, technology development, technology implementation, and manpower application to the worldwide maritime community. TG initiated maritime services with the training of ship based security Teams in support of vessel Force Protection Operations as well as providing security assessments of critical port facilities. Simultaneously, TG addressed the Piracy problem which plagued the East in areas such as the Malaccan and Singaporean Straights. Today, TG is providing services to private sector clients, national infrastructure facilities, Gas and Oil assets both ashore and afloat and commercial customers managing merchant vessels transiting the high risk waters (HRW) of the world. TG, with our proven history of service and commitment to assets both in and around the maritime environment, is one of the few companies that came into existence, prior to 9/11, with the skill and capability to provide effective security and consulting support for the maritime and critical infrastructure industry.

?? European Coastal Nations Unite to Counter Russia’s “Shadow Fleet” ?? On November 13-15, a coalition of 12 coastal countries from the Baltic Sea and North Sea convened in Helsinki and Tallinn to strengthen joint actions against the Russian “shadow fleet.” Representatives from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and the UK reaffirmed their shared commitment to tackling the environmental, maritime safety, and security risks posed by these illicit activities. This regional initiative builds on a broader coalition of 46 countries and the EU, which endorsed a Call to Action against the “shadow fleet” at the European Political Community meeting in July 2024. ?? Key Areas of Focus: Addressing the environmental and safety risks of shadow fleet operations in the sensitive waters of the North Sea and Baltic Sea. Enhancing cooperation on information-sharing and coordinated sanctions. Exploring new measures to deter illegal fleet activities. The Baltic and North Sea’s challenging conditions and critical ecological sensitivity make unified action essential. The group, initially spearheaded by Denmark, has met three times this year, underscoring the urgency of countering the growing threat. As a trusted leader in maritime security, Trident Group America supports such collaborative efforts to ensure the safety, security, and sustainability of global waters. Together, we can safeguard critical waterways from environmental and geopolitical threats. #MaritimeSecurity #ShadowFleet #GlobalCollaboration #NorthSea #BalticSea #TridentGroupAmerica #EnvironmentalProtection #SupplyChainSecurity

?? Libya’s Oil Distribution Halted Amid Growing Instability ?? Libya's fragile energy sector has been thrust into turmoil following the abduction of Brigadier-General Mustafa Al-Whayshi, the Central Security Department chief. In response, residents of Zintan have shut down critical oil distribution valves, demanding his release. This action has caused significant disruptions to the country’s oil distribution network, further straining Libya’s already precarious energy supply. The abduction and ensuing protests highlight the vulnerability of critical infrastructure to local grievances, threatening the stability of one of Libya’s most vital industries. The Ministry of Oil and Gas has called for a swift resolution, warning that prolonged disruptions could severely impact the nation’s economy. However, the situation underscores broader concerns about Libya’s persistent instability and the risks to its energy sector. At Trident Group America, we understand the importance of securing vital infrastructure in volatile regions. Our expertise in risk assessment and critical infrastructure protection ensures organizations can mitigate risks in even the most challenging environments. #MaritimeSecurity #CriticalInfrastructure #LibyaCrisis #EnergySecurity #TridentGroupAmerica #GlobalRisk

?? Securing the Depths: NATO Tests Advanced Underwater Sensors to Protect Critical Infrastructure On Nov. 14, NATO conducted a groundbreaking test of alliance-developed underwater sensors designed to safeguard critical oceanic infrastructure. The event, co-organized by NATO's Allied Special Operations Forces Command (SOFCOM) and the NATO Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE), took place during Exercise Bold Machina 2024 in La Spezia, Italy. This first-of-its-kind drill saw special forces divers and drones equipped with cutting-edge technology attempting to evade detection systems, providing engineers with critical insights into underwater signature variations. A mix of advanced sensors was tested, capable of detecting acoustic, magnetic, passive, and electric signals. Analysts were immersed in the results using augmented reality simulators, enhancing real-time understanding of underwater security challenges. As maritime threats evolve, including the proliferation of unmanned underwater systems, NATO is focused on defending key infrastructure against adversaries like Russia and terrorist organizations. The war in Ukraine has underscored the importance of this mission, with Russia targeting critical infrastructure as a strategic objective. “Russia’s actions against Ukrainian infrastructure force us to reflect: how vulnerable are we?” said U.S. Navy Capt. Kurt Muhler, SOFCOM Maritime Development Director. “If SOF can play a role in proving and improving this technology, we’re delivering value to our nations and NATO.” With rising geopolitical competition over ocean spaces and multinational ownership of underwater assets, NATO is driving innovation in underwater defense technology. Bold Machina 2024 represents a significant step in aligning resources, political will, and cutting-edge engineering to protect the vital infrastructure that powers global security. #NATO #UnderwaterDefense #CriticalInfrastructure #MaritimeSecurity #Innovation #BoldMachina2024 #SOFCOM #CMRE #AlliedStrong #OceanSecurity
