“Saving is important and it is good to learn about it so that our children will also save. Even though we never went to school we understand the importance of saving and of belonging to a savings group.” At Trickle Up, we believe that savings groups are a cornerstone of #FinancialResilience. Through our #GraduationApproach, we empower participants to develop the skills and resources necessary to build savings and protect themselves from financial shocks. By facilitating #SavingsGroups, we help participants strengthen their financial foundations, ensuring they are better equipped to navigate life's challenges. #PartneringWithWomen#EndPoverty #Resilience #FemaleEmpowerment #donation #inspiration #quote
关于我们
Trickle Up partners with women living in extreme poverty to drive social and economic inclusion and promote sustainable livelihoods. We drive large-scale change by partnering with governments, global institutions, and local organizations. Trickle Up was founded in 1979 at a time when "trickle down” economics was the conventional wisdom. We watched the poor getting poorer while the rich benefited from this approach. Trickle Up founders Glen and Mildred Robbins Leet knew from their experience that nothing empowers an individual to achieve their dreams more than the trust and encouragement of another human being. They put into practice what their experience had taught them: investing in individuals at the grassroots level is the most powerful antidote to extreme poverty. Over 38 years later, Trickle Up continues to be a critical vehicle for the social and financial empowerment of women living in extreme poverty. Trickle Up focuses on the toughest challenges in global poverty alleviation: to reach the poorest, most vulnerable, isolated people and create trajectories towards financial independence. We have lifted over one million people worldwide - particularly women, people with disabilities, refugees, and indigenous people - out of extreme poverty and into a better quality of life. We invest in people. We bolster communities. We champion power over poverty.

As the #ClimateCrisis threatens to undo more than 50 years of global #PovertyReduction, we must work together towards a more sustainable future, addressing the needs of those most at risk. Our participants confront the #ClimateCrisis every day. Frequent extreme weather events are a threat multiplier, amplifying hunger and poor health. To build the #ClimateResilience, our integrated approach provides training on agricultural innovation, allowing our participants to gain resources and skills to adapt to the fast-changing climate, reducing the impact of #ClimateChange. We are committed to doing even more so that our participants and partners are prepared to confront the increasing challenges of the climate crisis. #PartneringWithWomen #COP29 #ClimateAction #Humanitarian #ClimateAdaptation
