Stephanie Hickman and Gregory Faulkner of Trice Construction Company had the privilege of attending the Bronzeville Community Microgrid Site Tour yesterday. This groundbreaking project?by Commonwealth Edison (ComEd), selected Enchanted Rock to provide 7.7 MW in dispatchable natural gas-fired generation to support Chicago’s Bronzeville community microgrid. As the nation’s first neighborhood microgrid cluster, it can operate independently from the grid, ensuring reliable backup power for approximately 1,000 customers. These include critical services such as hospitals, health clinics, police and fire departments, public works buildings, and educational facilities in this historic community. Trice Construction Company, a woman-owned minority utility construction firm, was honored to be the contractor chosen to perform the civil and site construction for this pioneering project. #Sustainability?#EnergyEfficiency?#Electrification?#Microgrid?#Bronzeville

I am honored to serve alongside the women of our board – your leadership makes it possible to create programming (like Girls+ in STEM – thank you, Ann Drake!) that is as dynamic as it is inspiring. Across every sector in the US, the number of women in leadership positions is on the rise. Colleges and universities, Fortune 500 companies, government, and cultural institutions are all benefiting from the leadership perspective and impact of women in power. At the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago we are proud to have so many women on our leadership team, leaders who are shaping a museum that is for and of the people of this great region: Crystal Bowyer, Laura Herrera, Dr. Jessica Chavez, Pam Chen, Anne Rashford, Syeda Soofia, SPHR, and Patricia Ward. I hope to continue to be a mentor, and encourage every woman - especially those in leadership - to hold the door open for those who will follow. The progress we have made is ours, and by that I mean all of us: everyone who benefits from MSI’s incredible programming and innovation, everyone who will live in a world that is influenced by leaders with a range of dynamic lived experiences. This month, as every month we celebrate women, we celebrate us. #WomensHistoryMonth https://lnkd.in/gC_da3vR.
Celebrating Women's History Month with the women of influence at the Museum of Science and Industry! ?? As we honor the remarkable achievements of women throughout history, we're proud to highlight the incredible contributions of the women serving on the Museum of Science and Industry’s Board of Trustees and our trailblazing President and CEO, Dr. Chevy Humphrey. Their leadership, vision and dedication have been instrumental in shaping the museum's mission to inspire the inventive genius in us all. As Dr. Chevy Humphrey always reminds the MSI team: “If you see it, you can be it.” The sky’s the limit here at MSI.? Join us in recognizing and celebrating these extraordinary board members who continue to inspire future generations of scientists, innovators, and leaders: Uma Amuluru Cathy Birkeland Barbara Bowles Stephanie Braming, CFA, Partner Michelle L.
