Last week, we celebrated Sean Smith officially becoming Tribe Gaming's new CEO. Since founding Tribe with Jonathan, I’ve felt/hoped (albeit naively) that it would be obvious when I should pass the CEO baton – and to who. Fast forward to Sean joining the company at the end of last year as COO, he’s made the baton pass even more obvious than I could’ve imagined. Through the incredible efforts of our entire company, Tribe is operating at it’s highest level ever this year! For me? Alongside continuing on the board, I’m stepping into a new role as Chief Strategy Officer – where among other things, I’m most excited to unlock a consolidated/narrower focus on some of the major initiatives we’re cooking up here behind the scenes. In partnership with AT&T, we collaborated on a new experiential vehicle that puts the ‘mobile’ in mobile gaming. Welcome to the Mobile Club House. The Mobile Club House is a brand new, state-of-the-art retrofitted RV that will serve as the new hub for our creators and fans. It sports an exciting design wrap on the exterior and features an expansive interior with a lounge, photo wall opportunity with its many trophies, and an experiential section in the backroom for fans to enter and battle it out with creators or their friends for prizes. To top it all off, AT&T will be powering the devices inside the Mobile Club House so that everyone can get in on the action! Be on the lookout, as the Mobile Club House, presented by AT&T, will become the “6th man” for content and serve as the transportation vehicle for our esports team and creators to the biggest venues across the country. This one-of-a-kind experience will be on the road in Austin and at events such as VidCon, TwitchCon, SXSW and more in the coming months!
