Let me just say it was truly an honor to attend #DiversiTech as a Community Partner! ?? Major shoutout to Shannon Morales for providing The NextLink Consulting with the opportunity to be part of something so impactful and purpose-driven. There’s just something magical about being surrounded by innovators, dreamers, and doers, especially when that space is intentionally inclusive and uplifting. The panels were incredible and inspiring, leaving me with fresh perspective, bold ideas, and a heart full of possibility ? I also was able to attend the Accenture Mixer and the Small Business Social Hour and the vibe was everything! It was incredible to be able to connect with other entrepreneurs and creatives who are out here building with real passion and purpose. ?? Explored Philly’s tech scene this past weekend at Tribaja.co #Diversitech2025 conference, and what an experience! Shannon Morales outdid herself, creating exactly what the community needs to succeed in tech. From discussions on upskilling and salary negotiations to hands-on workshops for tech transitioners, the conference was packed with value. But the real gem were the sessions designed for new techies looking to explore different tech verticals. One of my favorite moments was meeting Joanna Valdez who purchased a ticket after seeing my IG video about the conference. Before the conference, we hopped on a Zoom call where I shared tips to help her navigate her tech transition. If you’re looking for a UX/UI designer - send her a message! I also loved meeting the team at Accenture, especially Torie Banks and Isaac Guerrero, who shared what inspires them to do the work they do. The ultimate icing on the ?? was catching up with my friend Isabela Noury after five years and hearing how she’s thriving as a civil project engineer. ?? As a Brand Ambassador Lead and a Digital-Printer-Emotional-Support-Human (my semi-formal title at @ Barrio Press), I ended up spending the majority of my time running Registration which gave me the opportunity to: ???? Meet, greet, and thank almost every attendee personally ?? Encourage every job seeker who arrived locked in and ready to network ?? Hype every BIPOC tech employee who has #securedthebag ??? Problem-solve and execute in real time, just like the old days #teacherlife As I enter the required period of recovery for an extroverted-introvert, I'm floating on a happy little cloud of "We did that!" powered by Shannon Morales, Claudia M., Erika McClary, MS, and all the incredible volunteers and participants who showed up and showed out. I just got back from the 2025 Diversitech Conference powered by Tribaja.co and I’m still feeling so inspired! ???It was truly amazing meeting so many incredible people in Tech who shared their stories and insights. This conference made me reflect a lot on my own journey. As I’m looking to pivot from freelance marketing into a tech role, I feel more motivated than ever to continue exploring new paths. I have one word for you, DIVERSITECH! An amazing tech conference powered by Tribaja.co and curated by the Inspiring Shannon Morales, a woman on a mission to create a space of inclusivity in the tech field and also show, not just herself & others, but her daughters what is possible. As a mother I understand this wholeheartedly and I am truly inspired. ???? Thank you! I had the honor of attending this 4 day event that kicked off on Tuesday last week with pre conference virtual workshops and continued Thursday-Saturday in my hometown of Philadelphia with panels, workshops, fire side chats, career expos and so much more. The knowledge, resources, information, and genuine connections left me so full, empowered, and excited for my next steps on my journey. This was truly an amazing experience and I am so full from all the resources, gems, information, fun and genuine connections I've made.
