MEET THE MEMBER: Eve Pilkington, RPA, Senior Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield. Years in the industry: 28 IMPACT OF TCREW: Triangle CREW has been instrumental for me to find my voice. I was fortunate to work on several committees and ultimately was honored to be President of TCREW in 2013. In the various roles, speaking to the membership or leading Board meetings was required and necessary for the position. There were so many articulate and strong leaders before me that I was concerned that I would not live up to the respect I had for them. What I learned is that I was valued for my own experiences, my delivery of a message and my care for the organization. ROLE: As Cushman & Wakefield's senior managing director for the Triad and Triangle, I am always looking for opportunities to partner with clients that value experienced professionals with an owner mindset that is backed with an impressive company platform.?I can be a resource during due diligence to vet out operating expenses, service contracts and capital expenses at no additional cost. It is all about relationships and I try to share the expertise and bench strength our team brings to every project. It's true that Cushman is an international company with a huge presence in North America. However, I am able to navigate the Cushman resources and tailor a plan for a client in our market. One size definitely does not fit all. ADVICE: Be a sponge. There are so many excellent professionals in our market. Property managers, assistant managers and property administrators touch almost every facet of Triangle CREW - leasing, asset management, marketing, legal, architects and engineers. There is a wealth of information to glean from those willing to share. I find as you go to different projects and different meetings that that if you listen and ask questions, you will find that the professionals in our market will answer you and make you better for knowing them.

MEET THE MEMBER: Anna Tison, Partner with Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, LLP. Years in the industry: 10 ROLE: I am a commercial real estate attorney, representing buyers, sellers, developers, lenders, and investors in complex commercial real estate transactions. In this role, I assist clients with a wide variety of legal matters, including financing, joint ventures, leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions of real estate. I would love to have the opportunity to work with other TCREW members on their transactions. WHAT TRIP CHANGED YOU AND WHY? In college, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy. It was a four-month trip that allowed me to travel to many different European cities, and I learned so much about different cultures during my time there. It also made me appreciate slowing down and not always rushing to be somewhere. And perhaps most importantly, I brought home an amazing lasagna recipe from my cooking class that I still make today - almost 20 years later.
