WakeMed's CEO, Donald Gintzig, shared his passionate commitment to reducing preventable cases—over 70% of what they see—and leveraging technology and professional care to focus on prevention. Their goal? Ensuring fewer people find themselves in the hospital in the first place. ?? A huge shoutout to CIO Pete Marks and VP, Marketing and Communications Debbie Laughery for organizing a comprehensive and inspiring presentation and tour of WakeMed’s innovative facilities. Some highlights included: ???? Visiting the rehab center, where an exoskeleton is helping patients recover faster with greater precision and less human error. ?? Seeing the NICU, where advanced technology is being used to care for newborns and keep families connected and informed. ?? Touring the cath lab, where providers can rapidly identify and intervene in emergency situations, saving lives in real time. It was amazing to witness the intersection of cutting-edge technology and compassionate care.
