This is a TRI-made state-of-the-art permeameter allowing to measure permeability normal to the plane (EN ISO 11058) and permittivity (ASTM D4491) using both the constand head and falling head methods. The apparatus comprises a de-airing unit & a vacuum system and is 100% electronically controlled. A few weeks ago, our colleague Julio Zambrano Ferreira from TRI Ambiental (TRI Sudamerica) proudly participated in the first Educate the Educators (EE) program of International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) #Brazil chapter, alongside the inaugural Symposium of Geosynthetics of Northern Brazil (Geossint Norte). The ASTM International D35 committee gathered in #Houston last week for its 61st semi-annual meeting, continuing its mission to develop and refine the standards that define the #geosynthetics industry. ASTM D35 unites manufacturers, #testing laboratories, raw material suppliers, and more—all working towards a common goal: advancing the industry through rigorous, reliable standards. Representing TRI Environmental Group at this event were Samuel Allen, Jeffrey Kuhn, Jarrett Nelson, Mansukh Patel, Richard Lacey, Abigail Gilson (formerly Beck), and Eli Cuelho. The photo was taken during the 61st GAI-LAP meeting, marking three decades of contributions to the accreditation program. For 30 years, the GAI-LAP program has played a key role in ensuring quality, consistency, and trust in geosynthetics testing.
