How Big is TikTok Shop, Really? At Trendio, we've combined public data with internal analysis to estimate the true scale of TikTok Shop's presence in the US. Our projections show that TikTok Shop sales in 2024 will likely fall between $6-8 billion. While this is notably lower than the $17 billion figure circulating earlier this year, it still marks TikTok Shop as the fastest-growing scaled e-commerce platform in the country. In fact, Q4 sales are expected to be 3-4X higher than last year, with a year-end run rate approaching $10 billion. After mapping video length against average watch time over thousands of videos, we discovered a surprising trend—longer videos actually hold attention better. In fact, videos over 60 seconds not only tend to be watched longer but also consistently outperform shorter clips in terms of Click-Through-Rate (CTR).
