Celebrating the Ribbon Cutting at Bickham Court! Yesterday, November 7th, Trellis proudly marked a new chapter with the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Bickham Court, renamed in honor of longtime mentor and educator George Bickham. This affordable housing community, supported by Missions Inc. Programs, reflects our commitment to helping families thrive. The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Yolanda Farris, Bickham Court Resident Advocate and St. Louis Park City Councilmember. Hennepin County Commissioner Marion Greene then delivered remarks, followed by Katy Daniels, CEO of Missions Inc., and Dan Walsh, Trellis VP of Housing Development, who shared the story of how Bickham Court came to be. Kaylie Burns Gahagan, Director of Advancement at Missions Inc., spoke about why this community was renamed to honor George Bickham. A heartfelt response from Dawanna Witt, George’s sister and Hennepin County Sheriff, spoke of George's love of his work and commitment to the community and its residents. Surrounded by the speakers, Sherriff Witt and the speakers symbolizing both the start of a new chapter for Bickham Court, built on the foundation of George Bickham's life of service. After the ceremony, guests gathered in the community room to enjoy cookies, coffee, and hot chocolate. A special thank you to Hennepin County, the St. Louis Park City Council, Tammie Fallon with Fallon Construction Consulting, Andrew Perry, President of Trellis Management and the team at Missions Inc. Programs for ensuring that these homes—and the important work that George Bickham dedicated his time, talents, and generous spirit to—will continue on for generations to come. Here’s to a bright future of service and community at Bickham Court! #BickhamCourt #AffordableHousing #CommunitySupport #TrellisManagement #MissionsIncPrograms #SLP #GenerationalImpact

Last week, members of the Trellis team met up with Mahoney | CPAs and Advisors to give Park 7 Apartments in Minneapolis a landscaping refresh! This involved removing old rock from the property and making way for a more vibrant, welcoming outdoor space. At Trellis, we’re all about creating environments that residents can truly enjoy. Thanks to Mahoney Partners for their hard work and commitment to making Park 7 an even better place to call home! #CommunityCare #TrellisManagement #Teamwork #LandscapingTransformation #MinneapolisLiving #TeamTrellis

Treehouse: Opening Soon! As we approach the grand opening of Treehouse, a brand-new rental community for adults 55 and over, Trellis is excited to share this sneak peek! Located in St. Paul, Treehouse offers thoughtfully designed studio and one-bedroom apartment homes, creating a comfortable and affordable living environment for seniors. What sets Treehouse apart is its dedication to affordability and housing support. Half of the 36 units are reserved for residents through Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA), providing essential support to those who need it most. The remaining 18 one-bedroom units are available to seniors whose income meets either 30% or 50% of the area median income (AMI), making quality housing accessible to a broader range of individuals. We’re looking forward to welcoming our new residents soon and building a thriving community together! Stay tuned for more updates! #AffordableHousing #SeniorLiving #CommunityMatters #TrellisManagement

Trellis is thrilled to announce the opening of the Alexander Baker Apartments, a project that preserves a historic landmark while addressing a critical need for affordable housing in the community. A collaborative effort between Trellis and Kootasca Community Action, this redevelopment brings affordable 1, 2, 3, and 4-bedroom apartments to International Falls. The property includes 17 tax credit units available to the general public at rental rates that meet county HRA limits, as well as 10 project-based voucher units dedicated to high-priority homeless households and individuals with disabilities. With modern amenities like lounges, a library, fitness center, and in-unit dishwashers, Alexander Baker Apartments also offers residents access to the community-centered events at the neighboring Backus Community Center. We’re proud to be part of this project, saving a historic building from demolition and delivering the first new rental housing in the city in over 30 years! A huge thank you to our incredible partners, including Kootasca Community Action, Frerichs Construction, UrbanWorks Architecture LLC, Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (MHFA), Wells Fargo, and the City of International Falls, for making this vision a reality. As we celebrate this successful development and the grand opening of Alexander Baker Apartments, we are thrilled to welcome our first residents to their new homes. This milestone represents both the preservation of history and the creation of a brighter future for the community of International Falls. #AffordableHousing #CommunityDevelopment #HistoricPreservation #Trellis #Kootasca #FrerichsConstruction #UrbanWorkArchitects #InternationalFalls #AlexanderBakerApartments

Trellis and Missions Inc. Programs Join Forces to Preserve Affordable Housing in St. Louis Park! ???? We're thrilled to announce that Trellis has successfully acquired the former Perspectives apartment complex, now Bickham Court, ensuring 56 deeply affordable homes for families in St. Louis Park. This partnership with Missions Inc. Programs means residents—many of whom are single parents—can continue to access stable, affordable housing and receive supportive services. Named after longtime community teacher and mentor George Bickham, Bickham Court will undergo comprehensive renovations in 2025 to enhance the property for decades to come. This vital initiative would not be possible without the support and commitment of our funding partners: Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, Minnesota Housing, Hennepin County, the City of St. Louis Park, and the Family Housing Fund. We extend our heartfelt thanks for making this vision a reality. #AffordableHousing #CommunitySupport #Trellis #MissionsIncPrograms #HousingMatters #BickhamCourt #StLouisPark #Partnership #SupportingFamilies #AffordableHomes #ThankYou #FundingPartners
