Stop in anytime between 4:30 and 7pm for some delicious chai and treats in our cafe while you purchase purposeful gifts in our beautifully renovated shop. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Additionally, our annual online silent auction begins next week Friday, November 28 and goes through December 3. Earlier this week, we gathered with over 300 people for our annual luncheon, and listened to stories that showed us what opening our hearts looks like in a community built on trust, resilience, and gratitude. The power of our work comes not from one person, but from many people choosing to celebrate and honor the dignity inherent in every one of us. This morning at our space, women of different backgrounds, cultures, and religions gathered around a table making real change in their community. Hope in action. Wherever you are and whatever you are feeling today, know that this collective was built on the belief that we can create the kind of community we long for — together. The isolation many newcomers experience as a result of language, cultural, and other barriers to connection often compounds trauma experienced through the process of fleeing one place and resettling in another. By investing in leaders from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds to develop and implement peer-based wellness groups, we brought mental health support and built more effective bridges to local resources for 170 participants in 7 languages over the last 3 years. Collective Care at Treetops is an innovative, community-based program changing lives in West Michigan, and we want to see it reach anyone who needs it, wherever they might be.
