We're hiring for our Tree Health Coordinator (full-time position)! ?? ?? Your responsibilities will include building a publishable annual tree inventory report of entire Trees Matter canopy, conducting regular site visits to measure and evaluate new and existing trees planted by Trees Matter, updating and maintaining a database that contains tree information, and more. We are looking for someone: -Who is a certified arborist or plans to become a certified arborist within one year of hiring -Has at least 2 years of experience in Urban Forestry -Has the ability to get a fingerprint card -With proficiency in Microsoft Excel -And more... We held our first SRP Shade Tree Workshop & Distribution in the Town of Guadalupe! With 73 participants (!) in attendance, it was a successful event! We held a treecare workshop to prep Guadalupe residents for their new trees, then immediately after we distributed the shade trees! BIG thank you to the Town of Guadalupe & Guadalupe Community Action Program team, Salt River Project team, and our Trees Matter team for organizing this event; thank you to Ryan Wood for presenting the workshop, thank you to The Bilingual Experience for providing live Spanish translation, and thank you to our Trees Matter volunteers for making this event run so smoothly!
