TreesUpstate recently attended a planning session at South Carolina State University (SCSU) 1890 Research & Extension as one of 17 awardees of a $5 million grant. Over the next five years, SCSU will lead efforts to plant 22,000 trees across South Carolina, focusing on community engagement and reducing urban heat islands.
