?????? ???????? ?????????????????? ???? ???????? TCA-M circumvents the issue of sound colouration by breaking conventional strategy. Unlike typical box design loudspeaker cabinets, TCA-M employs a spherical folded dipole structure which forms the base of the treble clef frame. Two-facing hemispheric cups are mounted to an acrylic glass support and contain a woofer driver each. This use of shape and materials improves efficiency by restricting the compressive air volume and optimises the surface to area internal volume ratio. To our delight, they accepted our invite to learn everything about the TCA-M Loudspeakers and visit our new workspace in Jyllinge, Denmark. Doug Schneider from SoundStage! network introduces Chief Designer & Founder of TCA, Ole Siig: “…but there are new kids on the block also deserving of recognition […] Siig had a successful career in electrical engineering and IT, but he had been building speakers as a hobby since his teens. One of the reasons we travel to hi-fi companies is to create photo, text, and video content to show our readers and viewers. But one of the reasons I also like to go is to see -- firsthand -- if what a company is doing is real and/or innovative, or if it's smoke and mirrors. Ole Siig's Treble Clef Audio? TCA-M active loudspeaker is wild looking, but it's also wildly ambitious in terms of providing high-performance sound for the home. It's fully active and DSP driven to be both wide bandwidth and neutral, but it also has some innovative features, such as the patented "folded dipole" bass section, which I personally witness can provide exceptionally deep (-3dB is purported to be 16Hz) and extraordinarily tight bass performance. A pair can also be cleverly tuned to the size of room they're playing in with various factory-created presets. The ones I heard also performed very well in the suboptimum area of the curtained-off factory space. From what I learned while there, the TCA-M is certainly not cheap, but it's the real deal in terms of having something going on -- and is worth looking into. Form does follow function here, even though at first glance it might look like it's the other way around.
