West Park Pollinator Garden: A Community Project Powered by Our Members The City of Nampa, Idaho, The AZEK Company?, and local partners have come together to transform West Park's Pollinator Garden into a 5,000-square-foot educational space. Originally an 800-square-foot garden, this expansion provides a vibrant space for the community to learn about pollinators and enjoy nature. Eagle Scout Devon Davis led the revitalization, building sustainable features like benches and a pergola with donated TimberTech? materials. The City’s Parks and Forestry team worked alongside horticulture experts to create pathways, retaining walls, and a new irrigation system to support the garden’s growth. At Treasure Valley Canopy Network, we’re proud to highlight the collaboration of The AZEK Company? and the City of Nampa in creating lasting environmental and educational resources. Volunteers from Canyon County Master Gardeners and University of Idaho Extension will complete the project this spring, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will celebrate its success. The Boise Youth Climate Action Fund is back! ?? The City of Boise is awarding $85,000 in grants to fund youth-led climate projects in our community. If you're 15-24 years old and have an idea to support sustainability in Boise, this is your chance to bring it to life. Projects can receive up to $5,000 and should align with Boise’s Climate Roadmap Priorities, such as waste reduction, expanding green spaces, sustainable transportation, energy efficiency, and strengthening local food systems. Last year, 16 projects made a real impact, including a student-led effort that planted 100 native trees and plants along the Boise River with Treasure Valley Canopy Network.
