As we rest our weary feet after an incredible week at ITB Berlin we’re taking a moment to reflect on how fortunate we are to be part of the vibrant global travel industry. ??? It’s truly inspiring to see so many cultures, destinations, and perspectives come together in one place. What an amazing 4 days we've had at the Destinations: Holiday & Travel Show Manchester. Thanks to the Travelzoo team members who manned the stand at the show meeting thousands of new members and sharing holiday deals, tips and Travelzoo perks. Our Staycations panel was a love letter to holidaying in Great Britain and our thanks to Nicola Said, Tim Gunstone, Nick Hurley, and moderator Adam Potter. Our Saturday panel shared tips and tricks for a scoring a great deal by land, sea or air with panellists Cat Jordan, Andy Harmer, and Katy Maclure. Thanks to show moderator Andrew Dickens. What a fantastic way to start the United States Tour Operators Association Conference! During our lunch event, we explored how destinations can inspire travelers to go beyond overcrowded landmarks and discover 'dupe destinations'—hidden gems offering unique and crowd-free experiences. Highlights: ?? Dupes in Action: Alternate destinations are standing out with creative campaigns. ?? Off-Peak Travel: Travelzoo members prefer to travel during quieter times with less crowds—an opportunity for destinations to shine. ?? Experiences > Things: Memories outlast trends, and meaningful travel is here to stay. In support of locally-owned businesses that advance sustainable tourism, Travelzoo is telling the story of Lendimi African Safaris, a group of local tour guides who lead hiking and safari expeditions throughout Tanzania. When Travelzoo producer Jeff Kirshman and a group of friends decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the decision to choose Lendimi to guide them was unanimous. As the party soon learned, their trek was anything but predictable, although their enthusiasm for cultural exchange and environmental stewardship was constant throughout.
