We're excited to share that Travel Butler County's President & CEO, Tracy Kocher, was elected to serve on the Executive Committee for the Ohio Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus. OACVB's mission is to maximize the economic impact of tourism throughout the state via effective communication, cooperative marketing, industry education, legislative awareness, issues management, trend identification, and professional development. She looks forward to representing Travel Butler County in her new expanded role with OACVB.

Travel Butler County is looking forward to welcoming tourism professionals from around the state to the Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association's Power of Possibility Conference & Gala later this month at the Champion Mill Conference Center in Hamilton. This two-day conference includes educational opportunities, and the Ohio Stars of the Industry Gala, which recognizes the work and impact of frontline hospitality professionals.

This morning TBC adventured around the county with Ken Baker of WXIX for 4 fun Kickin' It With Ken segments highlighting local businesses. We decorated donuts at The Donut Dude, poured craft sodas at Coterie Lounge & Cafe, checked out collectible toys at The Toy Department, and built a terrarium at Running on Blooms. Thanks to Ken for helping to share Butler County's unique stories and experiences!

Members of the TBC team attended the Liberty Township, Butler County, Ohio business breakfast this morning at the AC Hotel at Liberty Center. The event was a wonderful way to catch up and connect with local businesses and community professionals. A special thank you to the Liberty Township administration team for inviting Tracy Kocher to present on Travel Butler County's mission, tourism's impact locally, and what's on the horizon for 2025.

Matt Prewitt, STS from the TBC sales team traveled to Wichita, KS this week to showcase Butler County at the S.P.O.R.T.S. Relationship Conference. This event brings together the nation's top sports events owners and rights holders to meet with representatives from select destinations. We look forward to sharing opportunities that develop from this conference in the future!

Last week Travel Butler County attended the Ohio Travel Association's Ohio Conference on Travel in Destination Toledo. TBC won 3 RUBY awards for Innovation in Travel Marketing, Travel Guides and Planners, and Print Advertisement, as well as a Citation of Excellence for Promotional Video. The 2024 Butler County Insider Guide was one of the highest scored entries across the entire competition with a near perfect score. We look forward to continuing to share Butler County's stories through innovative marketing efforts!

The Travel Butler County team was honored to spend some time at Hope's Closet this morning to volunteer in support of their impactful work. This local organization is dedicated to championing foster children and parents by providing material needs, key resources, and community support.

Following a busy and productive summer, the sales team has kicked off fall by traveling to the TEAMS Conference + Expo in Visit Anaheim. TEAMS is an industry-leading conference and expo for the sports industry. Matt Prewitt, STS has been meeting with decision makers from leading sports organizations to share the Butler County story. #TEAMSconference
