Our team was proud to sponsor and participate in the third annual ACE Mentor Program. We had our Victaulic piping puzzle, information on the available apprenticeship programs for Locals 3, 208, and 9, as well as info on our entry level PE position available for the students. Two of our pipefitters were praised by one of our clients for their hard work and problem solving on a recent project! Kristofer Serna (l.), Pipefitter 2nd Year Apprentice, and Johnathan Moore (r.), Pipefitter Foreman, received this acknowledgement from the project's Senior Engineer: "Johnathan and Kristofer did an amazing job to help get this project completed. They both were very instrumental in not only getting the work done, but also in figuring out solutions to problems when they arose. This project involved a great many last-minute changes and on-the-fly work direction. Both Johnathan and Kristofer showed extreme patience and understanding of our situation and their expertise in their work made this project's success possible. Over the last few months we have had a few retirees: Randy Coffey retired in April, and Terry Lanman and Dave Vallejo retired in June. Randy and Dave finished out their careers working on our airport team, and Terry was with our estimating team. We can’t express how much each of these people have meant to us and how they impacted our team. The Denver Public School project manager complimented our team for doing an outstanding job on the demolition of existing air handling units and associated ductwork in the mezzanine at Schenck Elementary School.
