The SFPUC, along with our City partners, are excited about the completion of this project, which upgraded critical aging utility pipelines along the L-Taraval corridor, ensuring reliable water and sewer service for the next generation of San Franciscans. With the L Taraval Improvement Project complete, we’ve laid the foundation for a more secure, sustainable San Francisco. Here's what’s new ?? ? Nearly 5 miles of new water mains on Taraval ? Replacement of 100+ year old cast iron pipes ? Nearly 4 miles of new sewer pipes ? Enhanced Emergency Firefighting system for water resiliency ? Over 8,200 feet of new copper service for residents & businesses

Yesterday we joined Mayor London Breed, San Francisco County Transportation Authority Chair Rafael Mandelman, San Francisco County Transportation Authority board members Joel Engardio and Myrna Melgar, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), San Francisco Public Works, San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, and community leaders from People of Parkside to celebrate the completion of improvements along Taraval Street, as part of the L Taraval Improvement Project. The project transforms 5 miles of the Taraval corridor with safety, accessibility, and reliability improvements. Key features include: - High visibility crosswalks - New boarding islands - Sidewalk extensions - Curb ramps - Pedestrian signals - Trees, landscaping, and art - Pavement renovation - New and upgraded lighting And more We’re excited about the return of the L Taraval train and are proud to support Segment B of the project with nearly $19 million in #SFTransportationTax and Prop AA funds.

On September 19, we celebrated the groundbreaking for the Hillcrest Road Improvement Project with SFCTA Chair Rafael Mandelman and Treasure Island Mobility Management Agency Chair Matt Dorsey. Thank you Treasure Island Development Authority, Caltrans District 4 and Bay Area Toll Authority for your partnership and support. This project will upgrade the roadway to modern roadway and seismic standards,? create additional space for pedestrians and bicyclists, improve local and regional connectivity, and accommodate a 1.2 mile multi-use pathway. The project also provides an improved connection between the West Side Bridges Project & the Southgate Road Interchange Improvement Project. Learn more:https://lnkd.in/gGFaStjn
