The Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) serves as Monterey County’s regional transportation planning agency, and is a state designated agency responsible for planning and financial programming of transportation projects. Our mission as The Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) to develop and maintain a multimodal transportation system that enhances mobility, safety, access, environmental quality, and economic activities in Monterey County.

We’re thrilled to announce that MST has been honored with the TAMC 2024 Transportation Excellence Award for our Commute with Enterprise Vanpool Program! Launched in 2022 in partnership with Enterprise Mobility and Monterey-Salinas Transit, this program was designed to provide more transportation options for commuters in Monterey County, especially in areas where traditional fixed-route bus service may not be the best fit. Since its inception, the program has made a significant impact by helping reduce traffic congestion, lower transportation costs, and support environmental sustainability. It’s been incredible to see how the program has transformed commuting in our community. We are truly proud of this partnership and deeply honored to be recognized by the Transportation Agency for Monterey County for our collective efforts.
