NSW TrainLink and rail safety charity TrackSAFE Foundation are joining forces in a new push to encourage teachers to use free lesson resources on railway safety. NSW TrainLink and TrackSAFE work together to offer school visits to regional train stations, helping students see real-life examples of rail safety in action. Year 5 students at St Patrick’s Primary in Albury recently took part in a fun and important rail safety lesson. The session at Albury Station gave students a chance to learn about warning signs, level crossings, and the dangers of distractions near tracks. The kids were engaged, asking lots of great questions and sharing their own stories. The key message - ‘Stop, Look, Listen, Think’ - was a simple but powerful way to remind them how to stay safe. Pre-schools, schools and other educators can access the TrackSAFE curriculum materials at https://lnkd.in/gGaNDjQg #Safety #Education #Collaboration #TransportforNSW #TrackSAFE

关于我们
We’re a New South Wales government organisation leading the group of transport agencies and divisions that keep NSW moving. With over 25,000 people working right across NSW, we drive the continual development of safe, integrated and efficient transport systems such as road, rail and maritime networks. We’re committed to delivering better transport for the future of NSW, shaping our cities, centres and communities for generations to come. Right now, we’re delivering an ambitious and once-in-a-generation $72.2 billion program of public infrastructure works – the largest transport infrastructure program in Australia’s history. That means more job opportunities than ever before in metropolitan and regional areas right across the state – and your chance to make a lasting impact that will benefit generations to come. If you think Transport for NSW is home only to engineers, tradies and mechanics, think again. We've got roles you may not expect to see at Transport – from drone operators to graphic designers, Crash Lab technicians to boating safety officers, bridge engineers to demand planners, and all kinds of experts in between. In an organisation that’s as large, diverse and dynamic as Transport for NSW, there are thousands of opportunities. But it’s not just about what we do – it’s the way that we do it. We’re taking a new approach to the way we work. We’re embracing new technology and new ways of working. We’re building an open work culture where our people from a diverse range of backgrounds can thrive and continue to innovate. The road ahead is full of possibility and there’s plenty of work to do. We need great people to help us get it done.

Did you know four in every 10 NSW residents do not hold?a driver’s licence? Streets now serve multiple uses, including public living spaces, places to walk, cycling routes, public transport corridors, freight routes and general traffic. Making Transport work in NSW takes much more than building the infrastructure. It takes teams of people to engage communities, plan, operate, develop policy and law and partner with other road authorities across the state.? We’re asking NSW road users to tell us how our roads and streets will best serve our community needs. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reflect evolving community expectations for streets and refresh the way we work together in the 21st?century. Get involved and have your say: https://lnkd.in/gD2VAPTB #NSWRoads #Infrastructure #PublicSpaces #HaveYourSay #TransportForNSW

Work will begin on 24 March to upgrade 1.5 kilometres of Hill Road between Parramatta Road and Bombay Street to the south and Old Hill Link to the north near Sydney Olympic Park. This upgrade will improve connectivity to areas like Carter Street Precinct, Wentworth Point, Newington, and Sydney Olympic Park, easing congestion, ensuring reliable travel times, and enhancing safety. New shared pathways for pedestrians and cyclists will also be built. Construction, in partnership with Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure, will take at least two years to complete. Today marks the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination—a global call to action against racism in all its forms. It’s a day to reaffirm our commitment to fostering inclusivity, respect, and belonging for all. At Transport, we serve communities that are some of the most culturally diverse in the world. Our commitment to fostering an environment free from discrimination and racism ensures that we can better reflect and support the communities we serve. In Australia, we continue to work towards racial equality, acknowledging the challenges that persist, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and our culturally diverse communities. We understand that workplaces play a crucial role in addressing racism. At Transport, we value diversity and are committed to creating a safe and respectful environment for our people and customers. By embedding equity and inclusion in our policies and practices, we contribute to a stronger and fairer society for all. #Inclusion #Diversity #Equality #EliminationOfRacialDiscrimination

Today, the Sydney Harbour Bridge turns 93?????? Our iconic coat hanger opened on Saturday, March 19, 1932, with over a million people crossing the bridge in the first 24 hours on foot, by tram, or by train. Today, our bridge moves around 160,000 vehicles, 480 trains, 2000 cyclists, and 5,000 pedestrians each day. Some sections of the 500 metre-long, 30,000 tonne arch were last painted in the 1990s and around 150,000 square metres (nearly a third of the bridge) of hard-to-reach steel are due for a fresh lick of paint before the centenary milestone. 12 new painters are being employed to help with the massive maintenance blitz, using around 175,000 litres of paint to keep the bridge in top condition for decades to come. Happy birthday to a Sydney icon! #Sydney #SydneyHarbourBridge #Infrastructure #TransportForNSW

No one should have to think twice about their safety when moving through public spaces or on public transport. The revised Women’s Safety Charter for the Public Domain - Places and Transport is a collaborative initiative bringing government agencies, industry, and advocates together to take action to improve women’s safety. The Charter is led by Transport for NSW in partnership with the NSW Women’s Safety Commissioner and the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. By working together, we can embed safety into the planning, design and delivery of our public spaces and transport network. International Women’s Day was on Saturday, March 8. We caught up with Sydney Trains Signal Electrical Apprentice Bre Macpherson-Rice and Telecommunications Apprentice Amber Johnstone to hear how we can honour this year's theme, 'Accelerate Action' for gender equality. By challenging gender biases, uplifting each other, and being inclusive, we can create a more equal future for women, girls, and gender-diverse people. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2025 #Inclusion #Diversity #Equality
