It's been a whirlwind two weeks here in #Morocco. Our partners at the African Institute of Smart Governance dropped everything to take us on sales calls, meet dignitaries, got us a booth at the Logiterr trade conference, and even got me the closing keynote spot at the show! I've met food producers, commercial logistics executives, several trade unions, and even the African Union! What was supposed to be a two-day holiday for me turned into our biggest sales event of the year. Huge thanks to Dr. LKAIHAL Mhamed, Mohamed Nacer Allah Lkaihal, their team, and the show organizers for going so far above and beyond to welcome me to Africa and Morocco. My closing keynote tomorrow is titled "Navigating the Path between Data Overload and Data Insights." With an average of 39 different parties touching each international shipment, and an average of 150-200 paper documents required for each, the opportunity for mistakes, malfeasance, and product loss can be super high. The solution? Cellular IoT that inexpensively captures volumes of real-time location and environmental data — and predictive and prescriptive algorithms to reduce the data overload. Prescriptive analytics in particular can minimize the overwhelm generated by too many dashboards, logins, spreadsheets, and reports. I've never had so many people in a tradeshow booth before, nor so many sit-down meetings at one event, with executives and dignitaries from countries all over Africa. But also excited to go home and get some rest before the next show: the EU Silk Road Summit in Vienna, November 26-28!
