Transnetyx is committed to the 3Rs—Reduction, Replacement, and Refinement—in animal research. Reduction TYX Tissue dramatically reduces the number of animals by using the whole animal instead of parts. By utilizing each part, we can supply 15 laboratories with 167 anatomical parts from just 7 animals. In comparison, these same labs would use 36 mice, resulting in a significant portion of unused parts. Replacement TYX Tissue provides a centralized source of rats and mice, eliminating the need for individual research facilities to maintain their own animal colonies. This cost-effective solution enables facilities to redirect resources towards exploring alternative methods that may reduce or replace animal use in research. Refinement TYX Tissue is committed to ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare. We believe that research animals deserve compassionate care throughout their entire life cycle. By utilizing the entire animal, we minimize post-dissection discomfort and create a more efficient research process.
