关于我们
TransitMatters is an advocacy group dedicated to improving transit in and around Boston by offering new perspectives, uniting transit advocates, educating riders and promoting a level of critical analysis normally absent from other media. We advocate for plans and policies that promote convenient and effective transportation for everyone. TransitMatters' envisions a set of six high-impact solutions to improve the transit experience for MBTA riders; solutions with positive impacts that far outweigh the cost of implementation. We must vastly improve our public transport network to work for all citizens of the Commonwealth, improving equity, mobility, air quality, and economic opportunity. Transit Matters Initiatives: - Night Bus - Regional Rail - NextGen Bus - Fair Fares - Mobility Hubs - Red-Blue Connector

I was honored to stand beside our advocacy partners as we celebrated the announcement of the MBTA pilot to electrify the Fairmount Line. TransitMatters joined Conservation Law Foundation and fellow members of the FITC to celebrate. Thanks to the MBTA, Keolis Transit America, Inc, Office of Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, MassDOT, and so many elected officials for making this happen.
Feeling energized by today's celebration of the Fairmount Line electrification! This milestone means cleaner air, faster commutes, and more reliable trains for the predominantly Black and Brown communities along the Fairmount Corridor. Conservation Law Foundation has been proud to stand with the community as part of the Fairmount Indigo Transit Coalition for many years. It was great to join Office of Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, MassDOT Secretary Tibbits-Nutt, MBTA General Manager Eng, City of Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, and other leaders to mark this achievement. A special shoutout to the residents and community advocates who have championed this work for decades—you’re the true heroes, and it’s an honor to stand with you! ? ?? ??
