Join as next week at Greentown Labs! TPS will be featured on a panel as we discuss how municipalities can map a path to more climate and outage resilient assets. Program description and registration information below. Special thanks to PowerOptions, Inc., ACT | The Alliance for Climate Transition, and Beacon Climate Innovations for including us in this critical conversation. ----------------------------------------- Keeping Services Running: Climatetech Solutions for Continuity of Operations — Events — ACT (joinact.org) Municipalities need to keep services running smoothly for their communities regardless of the weather and provide shelter and respond during extreme weather and emergencies. The ways they will do this need to change as municipalities electrify their buildings and fleets. Climatetech is already building the solutions to these challenges. This event will bring together municipal leaders with climatetech startups to talk about how they can work together to meet the needs of municipalities to keep their communities safe and resilient.?

As we march further into the Fall, the TPS team can't help but look back with pride at the launch of the NSBE Boston Professionals - National Society of Black Engineers Inspire STEM internship. What began as a challenge by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to develop workforce solutions to engage environmental justice communities has turned into an inspiring 6-week program that develops awareness and expertise in talented young people from Lynn, Hyde Park, and Mattapan. We're grateful to MassCEC and NSBE for allowing us to be support the development of this important initiative. We look forward to being a part of how this expands its impact into the future! #CleanEnergy #Workforce #SustainableGrowth
Over the past six weeks, we’ve witnessed a transformation of bright young minds into future leaders of the clean energy revolution. Today marks the conclusion of our Inspire STEM Clean Energy Internship Program, and what an incredible journey it has been with our dedicated students! The Inspire STEM Program set out to empower Black and Brown students from Environmental Justice communities to become active participants in the rapidly growing clean energy industry, and we’re proud to say we've made significant strides towards this goal. We explored diverse career pathways: from clean energy solutions with Schneider Electric and ?rsted, to renewable natural gas skid design at Campos EPC, wind turbine testing at WTTC, and solar energy with Resonant Energy. We saw community impact through CSNDC Boston's green infrastructure tour, learned about Resonant Energy's work in energy access, and saw how MassCEC EmPower funds local initiatives. Students gained insights into advocacy and the theory of change from Hessann Farooqi and James O Michel, seeing Boston Climate Action Network 's influence on the BERDO Act, exemplified by Honeywell and the Renew Boston Trust solar installation at Mattapan Library. Hands-on experience was key: students learned energy fundamentals, analyzed utility bills, and conducted a Level 1 ASHRAE energy audit at Albert D Holland High School of Technology (formerly Jeremiah E Burke High School). They impressed with presentations at both the school and a pitch competition at Schneider. Thanks to Autodesk's Technology Impact Program, they got to design RNG skid components using AutoCAD. Beyond technical skills, our students formed lasting connections, met industry leaders, and earned a $3,000 stipend. This is just the beginning—we’re committed to matching them with mentors and ensuring they stay connected with the NSBE Boston family. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who shared their time and expertise with us. Special thanks to MassCEC for the enabling grant, and to our key partners Transform Power Systems, Schneider Electric, ?rsted, and Campos EPC. We appreciate Autodesk, CSNDC, Resonant Energy, MassCEC EmPower, and Honeywell and the Renew Boston Trust for their invaluable contributions. A heartfelt thank you to Chiderah Okoye and Ledum Nordee for their guidance and connections; David Ward for mentoring our students during the energy audit; Dr. Artis C Street for giving us access to Holland Tech; Alex Morr & Cambridge College for generously hosting us; Janel Granum at MassCEC for her continuous guidance as we brought the program to life; and Joshua T. Nwozor, CISA,MSc,MBA for teaching our students about personal branding. Lastly, we are deeply grateful to our team: Program Facilitator Indu Katta for her tireless efforts, Program Manager Sade Mabawonku for her leadership, Kiev G. for her support, and President Emeritus Alexis Smith, whose vision made this program possible. Be on the lookout for more photos!

The TPS team has the privilege of working with some of the most talented emerging leaders in the sector. It's an honor to have Danny G. as part of this cohort. Danny's experiences at the intersection of software development and community engagement model the types of early career contributions we look for in the talent the TPS Workforce Hub supports. Thanks again to our partners at National Grid for recognizing Danny as a shining start in this Fall's cohort!
I’m starting a new internship position as Clean Energy Careers Academy (CECA) Program Participant at National Grid and Transform Power Systems
