Happy Women's History Month and a belated Happy International Women's Day! I still firmly believe that taking personal responsibility for changing our story as women is essential. Yet, this alone is not enough to close the gender gap—something this year’s #IWD Accelerate Action theme prioritizes. True progress requires intentional action from both men and women. To accelerate change, we must first care about and value gender equality. The real question is: Why should men care? Here are some reasons I’ve heard from men throughout my journey: ?? Some are deeply committed to justice and equity. ?? Many want a better, more equitable world for their daughters and granddaughters. ?? Forward-thinking leaders recognize that a diverse leadership pipeline strengthens their organizations. They understand that empowering women enhances overall business performance. ?? Diversity and gender equity metrics significantly influence an organization’s reputation among employees, investors, and partners. What have you observed in your own circles? What other reasons should men consider when it comes to being allies in empowering women and closing the gender gap? #IWD2025 #InternationalWomensDay #WomensHistoryMonth #LeadershipDevelopment #LeadershipCoach
