The first big journey of the year took place in May. 13 days and ~3800 miles in California, Oregon, and a touch of Idaho. Big passes (Ebbetts), tiny roads, snow closures, coast, mountains, desert, redwoods, even riding through San Francisco and over the Golden Gate. This journey had everything except rain, tickets, or crashes. Time for the first journey of 2024. This will be a challenging one, but I'm confident that my compatriots on the journey are up to the challenge. They're coming from the UK, so we'll have a couple of local days to get acclimated, then we'll be off on a ten day, three thousand mile loop of Northern California and Eastern Oregon.
