I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation for the enriching experiences I had at both the Women Leadership Seminar in Kigali on 24th & 25th Feb,2025 and the Transformational Leadership Africa Summit in Mombasa on 27th Feb to 2nd March 2025.
One of the breakout key lessons from Mombasa was the focus on “Rest” and the powerful reminder from Hebrews 12:1–3 to “throw off everything that hinders” and run the race marked out for us with perseverance. This teaching, paired with the contrast between a “separated worldview” rooted in condemnation and scarcity versus a “connected worldview” centered on forgiveness and abundance, was profoundly impactful. It underscored the importance of releasing burdens, fixing our eyes on our ultimate purpose, and leading from a place of peace rather than striving.
At the Kigali Seminar, the concepts of forgiveness and self-identity resonated deeply. The emphasis on recognizing our true identity—as “more than enough”—inspired a shift away from the false mindset of not being adequate. The focus on forgiving both ourselves and others opened a pathway to stronger, more empathetic leadership. These discussions were a powerful complement to the teachings from Mombasa, illustrating how a connected, abundance-driven worldview not only enriches our leadership style but also fosters genuine compassion and unity within our communities.
Both events combined to create a transformative journey, reminding me that rest, Ethical leadership, great commission, forgiveness, and a healthy sense of identity are vital to effective leadership. By embracing these principles, we can sustain our energy, nurture a generous spirit, and positively influence those around us. I am truly grateful for the valuable insights, inspiring conversations, and the opportunity to learn alongside so many passionate leaders.
