  • Transform to Net Zero and BSR were thrilled to host and facilitate the Supplier Engagement Workshop at the Scope 3 Peer Group Conference in London this January! Participants used the TONZ Supplier Transformation Framework to create takeaway supplier engagement plans. The Supplier Transformation Framework was designed to help companies set common decarbonization expectations with their suppliers across industries and in turn accelerate their own Scope 3 reduction efforts. Download your copy of the workshop exercise here: https://lnkd.in/e2VRXxv8 A huge thank you to the Scope 3 Peer Group for organizing a great event and hosting TONZ and BSR!

  • When implementing Climate Transition Plans, businesses are benefitting from cross-industry experience. Around 50 business leaders and experts gathered at the Empire State Building on 24 September at Transform to Net Zero’s #ClimateWeekNYC event ‘Making Climate Transition Plans Work: Cross-industry Takeaways’. Highlights from discussions led by HSBC, Starbucks, and Wipro included: · Organize for success:?Recalibrating business models for net zero is a whole-enterprise endeavor. One strategy that has helped companies organize for success is adopting a federated operating model: sustainability is embedded across the organization, with a small central function headed by a head of sustainability or Chief Sustainability Officer. · Include funding:?Net zero pathways often require new assets, processes or capabilities. Ensure the capital expenditure (CAPEX) needed to implement the company’s CTP is calculated, and an estimate is included in the CTP. · Enhance brand value:?Implementing customer-facing changes, even those that yield small emissions savings, demonstrates?brand commitment, yields positive customer feedback?and supports broader internal company changes.
