Our intern Hailey and I made fantastic progress yesterday at Tranquil Studio as we completed Step 2 of the Transformative Mindset Instructional Design (TMID) process. In Step 1, we kicked things off by deciding on the topics and outcomes, and in Step 2, we chose supporting theories and journals to back our ideas. While the journals are still coming together, it won’t be long before the training and workbooks are ready to share! We’re filling out the processes outlined in Designing Transformative Learning Experiences: A Guide to TMID, and also drawing from the design steps found in Unleashing the Power of Instructional Design: A Guide to Transformative Online Learning Experiences. Now, we’re entering Step 3, which involves collaborating and gathering community feedback to ensure the topics and outcomes align with what’s truly needed. Our two key subjects are: 1. Parents of "Acceptance Heals All" – Helping parents support and understand their LGBTQIA+ children. 2. Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts – Focusing on juveniles and parents in high-conflict cases. We’re centering on communication, emotional intelligence, and empathy in these projects. If you’d like to contribute, reach out and we’ll send you a survey. Your input will help shape these workbooks and courses into something truly transformative! If you have a project or instruction you would like to create and need direction, reach out and let’s begin. The process usually takes 6-10 weeks. Tranquil Studio is here to help you!

Hope everyone had a relaxing Labor Day! In the spirit of celebrating hard work and new chapters, I’m excited to announce that Tranquil Parenting Studio has officially moved to the second floor of the Signal Suites at the Adrian Armory. This new space will be by appointment only, and we’re gearing up for some exciting changes. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. What a Wonderful Day at the Day of Hope for Overdose Awareness! ?? It was truly inspiring to be part of such an amazing event, surrounded by a few dozen organizations all committed to raising awareness, supporting recovery, and spreading hope. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by the Tranquil Studio table to share their stories, write messages of hope, and explore my collection of workbooks. ???
