I LOVE shipping product to our customers. I love getting into the problems they're experiencing, going through all of the possible solutions, getting conviction with an approach, shipping it, and then getting feedback from customers. I also love doing it with likeminded people like Cody Hebert & Rob Rotarius. ?? Our latest feature, Field Notes, is dominating engagement and revenue metrics since we released it. Here's the scoop: From our Klaviyo account we see that: ?? Field Notes recap emails have driven $65k+ in bookings since late October when we released ?? 8 out of our top 10 highest-grossing emails in the last 90 days are Field Notes recaps Copilot in our Microsoft Clarity account also let me know that over the past 30 days: ?? The Field Notes page is now our #3 most trafficked, right behind our homepage and search results ?? The /fieldnotes page boasts a significantly higher average active duration compared to other pages ?? Scroll depth is consistently high across all pages, indicating strong user engagement Product Development Backstory Field Notes emerged from analyzing thousands of conversations between our sportsmen guests and landowner hosts. We noticed recurring questions about game populations, game cam photos, weather conditions, etc. This ended up being a tax on our landowners who were having to answer the same questions 1:1 in each of the inquiries from guests. Our solution? Give our landowners the ability to have one-to-many communications about their LandTrust properties which streamlines communication, saves them time, and gives our sportsmen a deeper understanding and confidence of what a property has to offer them before booking. Now, with Field Notes, if our landowners are out and about on their property, they can simply take a photo or video of wildlife/weather fronts/harvest/etc. with their phone, or upload game camera photos/videos, write a quick caption and post it to their LandTrust listing. In this scenario a turkey hunter who is interested in a specific LandTrust listing can follow that listing and when the landowner posts a new Field Note update of a game camera video showing strutting toms, that hunter can feel confident to book immediately rather than having to message the landowner, ask questions about whether they have been seeing turkeys, and if they have any recent photos. We have a few more months of racing toward the final close, and then, as nearly all asset managers do, we'll start raising our third fund.?We're slowly learning to love fundraising, right Philip Taylor, Ph.D.!? ;) Across the Mad! ecosystem, our north star objective is to impact 10,000,000 acres of farmland by 2032 and we ended 2024 at 307,420 acres between Mad Agriculture, Mad Markets, and Mad Capital.?307k may seem like peas and beans, but we were at ZERO back in 2020. Ending 2025 at 500,000 acres would be solid. We're still in the early days of conceptualizing Fund III, and it's shaping up to be ~$250mm+, which would unlock institutional capital markets and lower-cost financing. Fortunately, there's no shortage of farmers looking for flexible credit, so deployment hasn't been the bottleneck - we'll see how far we can go. Brick by brick.

Earthshot now has the world’s first validated reforestation (ARR) project submitted for registration under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) VM0047 methodology! We partnered with TreeAid, a highly respected NGO with operations throughout the African Sahel, to help them get their epic reforestation project registered and financed. This project is an archetypal example of Earthshot’s work. Our compliance team assessed project eligibility, our science team applied Earthshot’s proprietary models for predictive carbon accounting to get the project to investment readiness, we brokered financing with one of our investment partners, completed the Project Description Document, and finally facilitated the third-party audit process. We’ll be supporting this project for the lifetime of its operations. VM0047 is a very robust methodology approved by the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) that applies dynamic baselining, comprehensively accounts for leakage and uses the latest non-permanence risk tool to calculate buffer pool contributions.
